“Deep Blue Volunteer Services Team”

The“Deep Blue Volunteer Services Team”was found in 2021. The team aims to create a sustainable marine ecology, and strengthening the bonds between youngsters from Mainland China and Hong Kong.

China Merchants was born and grown with the sea, thus, the ”Deep Blue Volunteer Services Team”committed to gather around volunteers to protect the marine ecology， alleviating the ocean and river pollution problem.

As a Hong Kong based company, CMI wishes to be the bridge between youngsters from both Mainland China and Hong Kong. Providing opportunities for students in Hong Hong to have a thorough understanding of the China culture, and have a in-depth communication with students in China.

Team Mazhou Island-Shenzhen

Yiulian dockyards (Shekou) - Mazhou Island "Sunshine Public Welfare Association" established a professional first aid team in 2021 to provide exercise guidance for the locals, teaching them the right exercise posture, such as warm-up, stretching and the standard running posture. Popularise the emergency knowledge to the community residents. Whenever there's emergency situation, with the knowledge of first aid, people can provide immediate direct treatment.

Team Zhejiang Yiulian

Zhejiang Yiulian launched the voluntary service program of "Condensing Every Bit of Strength to Build a Beautiful Investment Attraction". Volunteers mainly focus on the elderly group, children from the single parent families as well as children from families without labour force.

Team Nanjing Jinling

China Merchants Jinling shipyard (Nanjing) has organized a youth volunteer team called "Xiaolanghua" to carry out voluntary service activities for the elderly and children in distress. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, volunteers of "Xiaolanghua" went to the front line of COVID-19 detection centre to help the community carrying out the COVID-19 test.

Team Haimen

China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu)-Haimen Base organized the "Rainbow Knot" volunteer team and held a small study room for the kids in Haimen. We provide books and places for the community, parents can improve the parental-child relationships by reading with their children. With the growth of the "Rainbow Knot", and the good reputation of it, we wish to cultivate the habits for reading for the local families.
