On April 20th, the 9th high-end RoPax vessel W0272 built by Weihai Jinling Shipyard for STENA ship owners was launched successfully from the dock. Representatives from STENA and DNV site teams,secretary of the Party Committee, General Manager Zheng Hehui, Deputy general manager Liu Xinnan, Qu Weiying from the company attended the launching ceremony.

Since March this year, repeated "static" measures brought by the epidemic had disrupted the orderly production rhythm of the company, and also brought difficulties such as labor shortage and equipment, materials and service engineers could not be delivered to the company. In order to cope with the complex epidemic situation, the company had held special meetings on epidemic prevention and control, paid special attentions to the coordination of epidemic prevention and construction management, adhered to the principle of " prevention and production in control". Under the dual pressures of epidemic prevention and high-load production, the company had sought the progress in stability.On the basis of actively coordinating resources of all parties, concentrating limited manpower, and giving priority to ensuring major production milestones, through coordination with the government, point-to-point personnel transportation and material transportation were implemented to solve the urgent need of production and operation. The W0272 project team  actively adjusted the production plan and rationally allocated resources,all employees in shipyard resolutely implemented the epidemic prevention measures, stuck to their posts and devoted themselves to their work, the employees quarantined at home kept working and went all out to cooperate to complete the work, finally ensuring the launching of the W0272 .

During the outbreak of the epidemic,Both STENA and DNV site team supported the shipyard significantly in coordinating team members to enter the shipyard to carry out the key inspections,some of which were conducted through "live stream inspection". The three parties had worked closely together, understood and supported each other, and fought the epidemic together.

Within this year,Weihai Jinling Shipyard is about to deliver three high-end RoPax vessels，Among of which, W0270 will be delivered in coming mid-May, W0271 in September and W0272 in December respectively.

With a length of 214.5m, a breadth of 27.8m, a designed draft of 6.4m, a designed speed of 23 knots, a lane length of 2,705m, a capacity of 1,015 passengers and a number of 341 passenger cabins, it meets the 1C ice class and the latest international rules such as SRTP with DNV Classification Society. The vessel equips with fin stabilizer for comfortable design, the vibration noise can meet the requirements of COMF V(2).There are duty-free shops, bars, game rooms, VIP lounges, children's parks, restaurants, cafes, sunshine decks and other public entertainment places in the accommodation area. The vessel equips 12V46DF dual-fuel main engine using LNG as fuel will realize zero emission of sulfur oxides, greatly reduce the emission of particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide, and be green, energy-saving and environment-friendly. The emission of nitrogen oxides meets the latest requirements of TierⅢ in the Supplementary Provisions of MARPOL and the new international maritime environmental protection regulations.
