Other businesses constitute an important part of China Merchants Industry's operations, mainly including tugboat services, aluminum processing, and marine equipmentsupply chain services. Among them, the tugboat service is based in Hong Kong and radiates to the Bay Area. Its subsidiary, Hong Kong Yiulian, has the largest tugboat fleet in Hong Kong, with a regional market share exceeding 50%. Aluminum processing and marine equipmentsupply chain services play a key role in maintaining a stable supplyand complementing the value chain. Subsidiaries such as China Merchants New Materials andCM Energy have formed strong competitive advantages in areas such as lightweight material applications, electric control system research and development,floating crane manufacturing, and dual fuel supply system integration.



Tugboat Business

The tugboat business was born to safeguard the national ocean-going fleet and has prospered with the development of China's ocean shipping industry. It providesasignificant support for a series of maritime activities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, especially in Hong Kong, including port operations, emergency rescue, equipment towing, and resumption of work and production. The business has participated in major projects such as the West-East Gas Pipeline, the construction of Hong Kong Airport's third runway, and the construction of Hong Kong's offshore LNG receiving station. It has been commended by the Hong Kong Marine Department for its excellent performance in typhoon emergency response. Currently, Yiulian Dockyards, a subsidiary of China Merchants Industry, owns 13 tugboats, and YiulianDockyards (Shekou)owns six tugboats. In addition, it has a stake in ShenzhenLianda Tug Co., Ltd., making it one of the most powerful and functionally complete tugboat fleets in the Pearl River Estuary.




Aluminum Processing Business

The predecessor of China Merchants New Materials Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. was "Shenzhen Huayi Aluminum Co., Ltd.", which was the first Sino-foreign joint venturecompanyin China's aluminum processing industry. In 1984, Deng Xiaoping, the chief architect of China's reform and opening-up, made a special trip to inspect the company and gave it ahighpositiverecommendation. In December 2006, the company relocated to Yongchuan District, Chongqing . In November 2020, the company completed its mixed-ownership reform, and it has now grown into a specialized and innovative enterprise with sales exceedingUSD140 million, capable ofmanufacturingaluminum alloy rolling productionas well as outfitting parts ofships andoffshore equipment.





CMEnergy

CM Energy's main businesses are the core equipment technology, products, and services for offshore windturbine installation, green clean energy, and oil and gas exploration industries, as well as marine engineering asset management. Its core technology and products have reached world-leading levels after years of development, including large (delivered 1600tons crane), medium, and small cranes, lifting systems, power control and transmission systems,manifolds, tension adjustment and compensation devices and systems, among others. Currently, it is actively expanding into the manufacturing of high-end hydrogen energy industry equipment andhydrogen energy application. It aims to resolve various hard-to-break-through pain points in the industrial chain, mainly including large-scale electrolytic hydrogen production equipment, hydrogen refueling station core equipment, and heavy truck hydrogen vehicle operation platforms, etc..
